To play, start the homebrew channel and boot up Riivolution. Then, download this and unzip it to the root of your SD Card: To use Wiimmfi, first you must have an SD card and have the homebrew channel installed on your Wii. I can personally say that AltWFC is the best option for BWii, however I don't have a way to load it through Riivolution, so no modded files for now unless the ISO itself is modified for now. If you want to play BWii online even after the Nintendo servers shut down, here's how, there are two options: Wiimmfi, and AltWFC. So, feel free to discuss Battalion Wars as well as contribute what you can to the modding effort! Please check out the wiki at as we are slowly adding more documentation on the game files to it. The other is to softmod your Wii and use the homebrew app, Riivolution, to get the game to load files off a USB drive instead of the disc google around for more info on these. If you're interested in helping out, there are two ways to run edited files: one is to use Dolphin to emulate the game, and replace the ISO's files with edited ones. We have managed to edit quite a bit more than we hoped but there's still much to do if we want to fully customize the game. If you're a fan of the games you might be interested in the efforts to mod both games which is what this subreddit is aimed at. The games are enjoyable, but with little news regarding a third entry in the series it seems those craving more action are out of luck for now. Welcome to the Battalion Wars Modding subreddit! Battalion Wars and Battalion Wars 2 are RTS/shooter hybrids for the Gamecube and Wii respectively.
